Third Annual Britsburgh Festival
The Pittsburgh Bristburgh society is bringing all things British to Pittsburgh for their 3rd Annual Britsburgh Festival. Throughout this 5-day festival, guests can enjoy events like Britsburgh Ale, lawn bowling, British comedy, high tea, Shakespeare, readings, and more! Events run September 5-10. Ukrainian Food Festival
Pierogies, Kielbasa, Halushki, oh my! Head to St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Carnegie on Friday and Saturday this weekend for Ukrainian food, entertainment, and fun.
Beaglepalooza at Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse
If you’re wondering how you can make a cold glass of whiskey even better, combine it with a doggie party benefiting Forever Home Beagle Rescue. This Friday, the beagle foster home is hosting their 3rd Annual Beaglepalooza fundraiser. All dogs – and people – are welcome! There will be food, adult drinks, raffle baskets, and live music. Baby Loves Tacos and Sugar Spell Scoops vegan ice-cream will be in attendance. Wigle Whiskey is donating 12% of all drink purchases to FHBR. Rumor has it that Pittsburgh Penguins player Bryan Rust will also be in attendance.
Pour at the Park at the North Park Boathouse
As part of Construction Junction’s The Steel City Big Pour week, Allegheny County Parks Foundation is hosting a craft beer festival fundraiser. Thirteen local alcohol producers – including ShuBrew, Rivertowne Brewing, Dancing Gnome Beer, Couch Brewery, and Pizza Boy Brewing Co. – will serving drafts at the North Park Boathouse. There will also be sixteen food vendors, and live music will be provided by Dennis Malley and The Turpentiners .
Stroll the Strip
Eat, drink and stroll your way through the Strip District this Friday as the neighborhood showcases the businesses that make the Strip District so unique. Over 25 businesses are participating, and each location will offer complimentary food and beverage pairings. Tickets are $40 in advance or $55 at the door, and provide access to all host locations and the after party upstairs at Roland’s Seafood Grill. All proceeds from the event benefit the Strip District Neighbors organization.
Gaming at the Carnegie Science Center
Enjoy all the fun of the science center, but with no kids allowed. This Friday, The Carnegie Science Center hosting an epic game night with a cash bar. Craps, blackjack, roulette, giant beer pong, axe throwing, live game shows, retro games like Coffee Crisis, Viking Democracy, and Log Jammers, and so much more will all be in the rotation. Party in the Tropics at the Phipps
It it time again for the Party in the Tropics at the Phipps! This tropical dance party transforms the conservatory garden to a huge dance party. There will be drinks, snacks, and of course, music. Zoo Brew – Oktoberfest
Drinking beer at the zoo and celebrating Oktoberfest with the animals? Sounds like a pretty good time. Travel along the paths at the zoo while sipping beer from over 60 participating craft breweries. Enjoy live music, and see animals like tigers, Amur leopards, giraffes, siamangs, and more! Tickets includes over 60 breweries, delicious bites, live entertainment, and a tasting mug.
Sustainable Sipping at the Frick Environmental Center
The Sustainable Sipping series at the Frick Environmental Center returns this Friday for their September edition. Ticket holders can drink and mingle with like-minded environment lovers. This month’s event includes live music by The Wreckids, beer from Great Lakes Brewing Company, a discussion with 412 Food Rescue on food inequity, and their innovative programs to fight hunger in Pittsburgh, and more programming. Oktoberfest at Teutonia Männerchor on the North Side
Situated in Deutschtown, Teutonia Männerchor is a German cultural club that was built in 1888. All weekend long, Teutonia Männerchor is hosting “the most authentic Oktoberfest in the region.” Enjoy great German beer, food, dancing, and live music! Keep your eyes peeled for the big tent. Hours are Friday: 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m., Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A Taste in Dormont 2017
Dormont Main Street’s 11th Annual Tasting Event will be held this Saturday. Guests will enjoy libations from J&D Winery, Great Lakes Brewery, D&O Wine Cellars, and Plum Run. There will be food from Jose and Tony’s Mexican Restaurant, Nothing Bunt Cakes, Giovanni’s Pizzeria, Dunkin Donuts, Atria’s, and Coaches .Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online, or with cash or card at the door.
A Fair in Mellon Park
A Fair in Mellon Park returns this weekend. A collection of some of Pittsburgh’s best craftsmen, artists, designers, musicians and more will be at Mellon Park on September 8 – 10. There will also be food trucks like Mac & Gold Truck, PitaLand, Randita’s, South Side BBQ Company, Stickler’s Ice Pops, Rita’s Italian Ice, Wood Fired Flatbreads, Zeke’s Coffee Pgh, and Pgh Sandwich Society on site. Pittsburgh Irish Festival
Cheers to the 27th year of the Pittsburgh Irish Festival! This festival is happening all weekend long. Expect Irish entertainment, vendors, activities, and more. Bands like Gaelic Storm and the Screaming Orphans will be in attendance. McCarricks, Kells Bay, Craig’s Fine Irish Food, Mairin’s Irish Kitchen will be serving dishes like Irish stew, corned beef and cabbage dinner, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, and more. Wine Time Penn’s Colony on Saxonburg Boulevard
Head north of the city to sip drinks from 15 PA and New York wineries at the Penn’s Colony Grounds on Saxonburg Boulevard. The event will also have local food purveyors and artisans. Tickets to this event can be purchased online.
Steel City Big Pour
Drink local beer at one of Pittsburgh’s biggest craft beer festivals! Over 50 brewers and 20 food vendors will be at the 2017 edition of Big Pour. Check out local breweries like Allegheny City Brewing Co, Couch Brewery, Fury Brewing Co, and many more, plus local food vendors like Burgatory, Industry Public House, Prohibition Pastries, and the Sharp Edge. Tickets to Big Pour includes samples from all food and drink vendors. Hosted by Construction Junction, the proceeds from the event support material reuse. There will also be live music and art.
Mash Bill Summer Music Festival
Throughout the summer, Wigle is hosting free, live music every Saturday the Barrelhouse in the Northside. There will also be a food truck will also be on-site. The fun starts at 7:00 p.m. More information can be found online.
Explore East Liberty Wine Festival
Explore East Liberty is hosting their first-ever wine festival. For this event, Broad Street will be shut down between Centre Avenue and North Highland Avenue for guests to enjoy wine from over ten local wineries. Food trucks and vendors will also be on site. Tickets can be purchased online.

The Neighborhood Flea
It’s time to shops flea finds, vintage wares, furniture, and more! The Neighborhood Flea is back with over 50 vintage and unique vendors. As always, there will also be food trucks, baked goods, coffee, live music, and new friends. Much on treats and drinks from Aunt Carol’s Homemade Dips, piebird, Red Star Kombucha, Vibo’s Bakery, Wigle Whiskey, BullDawg’s, Franktuary, Happy Camper Cakes, Onion Maiden and more.
The Pittsburgh FLEA-For-ALL at Spirit
It is time for the first edition of a rockin’ new flea market, hosted by Spirit in Lawrenceville. Shop for cool & unique things, and enjoy an all you can eat brunch. Every Sunday at the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse on the North Side, Wigle features a different brewery and serves their beers in $10 boilermakers from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This week they are featuring Full Pint Brewing from Lawrenceville. There will also be food trucks on site.
Shadyside Nursery Sweet Corn Roast: Part II
After selling out their first edition of their corn roast this summer, Shadyside Nursery is hosting a extra-special, second edition this Sunday. Enjoy corn fresh from the farm with various accoutrements including: butter, Parmesan, parsley, crema/cotija, bacon, and more! Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour
The Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour is the oldest house tour in Pittsburgh, now celebrating its 48th year. Visitors will enjoy a leisurely, self-guided tour of homes and gardens throughout this historic neighborhood on Pittsburgh’s North Side. There will also be vendors and mobile eateries, including BRGR, Gilligan’s Sorbet, and Billu’s Indian Grill. Tickets are $20 per person on Tour Day at the ticket booth on Monterey Street at West North Avenue.
