Pittsburgh’s First Macaron Bar Now Open

Macaron Bar, a Cincinnati-based dessert shops that specializes in macarons, has opened their first shop in the Pittsburgh area, in the Ross Park Mall.

This is the sixth location for the Macaron Bar, which currently has three shops in Cincinnati, and two in Louisville.

Macaron Bar is known for their beautiful macarons, with flavors like Birthday Cake, Red Velvet, and Lavender Lemon. The shop also frequently introduces seasonal flavors, such as Peach, S’mores, and Key Lime Pie.

The company originally planned to open a shop in the Shadyside neighborhood, but instead moved their kiosk from the Kenwood Towne Centre in Cincinnati to the front entrance of the Ross Park Mall.

Macaron Bar Pittsburgh will be hosting a grand opening on September 23.

And, with more exciting news, the company announced that they will be bringing their famous Macaron Gelato Sandwiches with them to the Pittsburgh location. These delectable treats sandwich creamy gelato in between two hand-piped cookies.

If you end up loving their delicious macarons (and who wouldn’t?) consider taking a road trip to try more – two of the shops in Cincinnati have kitchens where guests can take a class in macaron making!

Additionally, supporting the community is a key part of Macaron Bar’s mission statement, and Macaron Bar commits to setting aside 5% of all revenue generated to be donated to local non-profits.
