Great news for hockey fans! You can now cheer on your Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena while enjoying food from local-favorite, Emporio: A Meatball Joint.
Emporio has two other Pittsburgh locations (Downtown & Wexford) and is famous for its gourmet meatballs, wide selection of sauces, and loaded fries/tots option.
The Emporio location at PPG Paints will be serve a limited menu of its best plays to keep up with the fast-paced environment of the arena.
Guests can expect 2 ‘meatball bowls’: A “Loaded Beef Tot-chos” (a play on nachos) with classic beef meatballs, tater tots, government cheese (gooey American cheese), bacon, and a “Buffalo Chicken Mac” bowl with buffalo chicken balls, mac & cheese, and buffalo ranch sauce.
It is also possible to order ‘Just Balls,’ with six meatballs of their choice (buffalo chicken or classic beef) and choice of sauce (marinara, government cheese or buffalo ranch).
Side include government mac & cheese and tater tots (served with both gov cheese and buffalo ranch sauce).
And don’t worry – Emporio plans on rolling out their famous ‘Meatball Bucket’ once the season gets started.
The will also continue their ‘Five Goal Free Ball’ Promotion where fans can get a free meatball at the Downtown and Wexford locations the day after the Penguins score five or more goals in a game.
