Want to make Thanksgiving a little less stressful this year? We have one word for you: delegate.
Community organization Repair the World is making that a little easier by offering Thanksgiving pies for sale, made by a seriously stellar Pittsburgh chef.
Spoon’s pastry chef Laura Bratkowski offered her pie-making services to the organization this year, and will be baking pumpkin, pecan and apple pies to sell, with the proceeds going to benefit the non-profit. Plus, gluten-free bakery Gluuteny is joining in on the fun, and will be offering gluten and dairy-free versions of each pie as well. In an interview with Repair the World, Bratkowski said that she’ll be working with local grocers and 412 Food Rescue to secure some of the ingredients.
Each regular pie is $9.99, and gluten-free pies are $10.99 each.
The last day to order pie is Friday, November 17, and pies will be available for pick up at Repair the World’s East Liberty office (6022 Broad Street) on Wednesday, November 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
