Fun news for the end of 2017: Pittsburgh’s first Wahlburgers restaurant, located at The Block Northway mall in Ross Township, is officially open!
Wahlburgers is a gourmet burger chain from brothers Paul, Donnie and Mark Wahlberg, featuring a number of burger options with house-made condiments. The new Pittsburgh Wahlburgers is located in the south atrium of The Block Northway mall, on the second level facing McKnight Road.
A few customer favorites from the other locations include ‘The Beast,’ with two burger patties, lettuce, tomato, pulled pork, blue cheese sauce, pickles and BBQ sauce, as well the restaurant’s sandwiches, salads, and Mac & Cheese with smoked bacon to homemade chili.
Each location also offers a full bar, with beer, wine, cocktails and “boozy frappes.”
This Boston-based chain is also featured on the reality show ‘Wahlburgers,’ which follows the lives of Wahlberg brothers as they expand the restaurant to cities around the country and in Canada.
This is the first of two Wahlburger planned for the Pittsburgh area.
The official grand opening for this Wahlburger location will be held in the new year. Hours for the restaurant before the opening ceremony will vary, so keep an eye on The Block Northway’s Facebook page for updates and early closing. The restaurant plans to be open from 11:00 a.m. -10:00 p.m.

Terri says
Waited 45 minutes for a table, then an hour for cold yet overcooked food.

Was there tonite, 1/3/18, I thought the food was good but no better than 5 Guys. Our server was good and came back to our table many times. My complaint would be the extremely uncomfortable metal chairs and how cold it was in the dining room. We also had a long wait for our food, you wouldn’t think there would be such a long wait with such a limited menu.Too bad for Walhburgers as there already is not enough choices in the north hills and this place has some distance to go to bring up their game.

I was so excited to go to wahlburgers but was a little disappointed. They have no appetizers on the menu, the burgers were small but tasty, and the dessert menu was not very appealing. And the floor was so slippery I almost fell into one of those hard metal chairs you’re forced to sit on. It just wasn’t what I expected.
