One of our all-time favorite Pittsburghers, Rick Sebak, will be all over PBS tonight with the national premier of two new food specials.
“A Few Good Pie Places” and “A Few Great Bakeries” will take an in-depth look at some of the country’s best out-of-the-way bakeries, cafes and roadside stands. And, in true Sebak fashion, the programs will also tell the stories of the people behind these businesses, and highlight the communities that they call home.
Sebak has written, produced and narrated both programs, which will feature spots from New York to California, with a few local destinations in the mix, too, including McKeesport’s Minerva Bakery, and Millvale’s Grant Bar & Restaurant
The programs air on WQED and PBS stations nationwide tonight at 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
And, if you want to watch with Sebak, join him at the viewing party at The Loft, upstairs from D’s 6 Pax & Dogz in Regent Square.
