Homebrewers, here’s your chance to shine.
Wigle Whiskey has just announced the date for their annual Homebrewers Competition, where they share their love for all things brewed, and Pittsburgh-area home beer brewers share freshly-brewed batches for a chance to win some great prizes.
This year’s event will take place on Sunday, November 1 at Wigle’s Barrelhouse from noon until 4:00 p.m.
Three winners will be chosen by a beer-loving panel, and will receive prizes that include a freshly-emptied whiskey barrel, various whiskeys, and tickets to Wigle Whiskey tours.
They’re taking submissions until October 16, and the $25 submission fee includes up to two beer entries, and admission to the fee. For everyone else, ticket information will be announced in the weeks leading up to the competition.
Competitors are asked to submit three unmarked 12-ounce bottles of beer, which will be judged on taste, aroma, mouthfeel and creativity.
