Oakland’s Community Human Services Corporation is hosting an extra-special farm-to-table dinner – and it benefits a really good cause.
The Big Share is taking place on Saturday, October 3 at Blackberry Meadows Farm in Natrona Heights. Guests will enjoy a menu of freshly-harvested seasonal produce, plus specially-crafted cocktails from Legume for an outdoor dinner event on the farm.
All of the money raised by The Big Share will be used by Community Human Services to purchase a large CSA share from Blackberry Meadows Farm for their food pantry, giving healthy, quality produce to more than 1,500 Oakland residents.
In addition to good food and good drinks, guests will also be able to enjoy live music, from bands and musicians including Nameless in August, Ferdinand the Bull, Midnight Rooster and Morgan O’Kane.
Tickets are $50 per person, and children 10 and under are admitted free.
