It’s (almost) tiki time!

Pittsburgh is getting its very own tiki boat charter line, and they’re about to hit the Three Rivers.

Cruisin’ Tikis Pittsburgh, a sightseeing tiki boat charter, has announced plans to offer two-hour sightseeing charters on the Allegheny, Ohio and Monongahela rivers starting this spring.

Each 16-foot tiki cruise boat carries six people, and comes fully prepared to help you throw the perfect river party – they supply the cooler, ice, and a blender, and you bring your own beverages (margaritas, anyone?) and snacks.

The cruises are family-friendly, and children are invited on board. And, each cruise will be run by a fully-licensed, Coast Guard-certified Captain, who will guide the vessel (at speeds of 4 to 6 mph) around the Three Rivers, taking in the sights, and stopping for plenty of photos.

Cruisin’ Tikis is a franchise that started in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and was brought to Pittsburgh by franchise owner Dale McCue. In an interview with the Erie Times-News, McCue says that the tour highlight will be when the boat stops at the point where the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers meet.

“Unless you are a boater, you do not know what the iconic view of the point, and the fountain, and the skyline is from the center of the rivers,” McCue says. “You just can’t get that experience from going across a bridge or onshore.”

According to the site, a typical two-hour cruise will cost around $400.

The cruises will cater to bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday parties, sunset cruises and corporate charters.

Cruisin’ Tikis Pittsburgh will begin taking charters soon. To be notified when charters are available for booking, guests are invited to fill out a contact form online.
