Spoonwood Brewing has a busy week ahead of them, with a full lineup of upcoming events.

Starting today, they’re kicking off their Septoberfest celebration, with live music every night through Sunday, special German-style food on the menu, and lots of Pie Bandit, their Belgian Pumpkin Ale (made with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla and 10 pounds of pumpkin per barrel) on tap.

On the Septoberfest Menu:

Graupensuppe: Soup with German sausage, farro, potatoes, leeks, carrots, nutmeg and marjoram

Das Wurst Platter: Two house-made German bratwurst with roasted shallot spatzle, braised red cabbage, warm German potato salad, and sauerkraut

Apfelstrudel: Roasted apples, raisins, cinnamon and sugar, and puffed pastry topped with cinnamon icing

Then, on Tuesday, September 29, they’re hosting a six-course Beer + Food Pairing Dinner, featuring a collaboration menu between head chef Jeffrey Simpson and head brewer Steve Ilnicki.

Tickets are $80 per person, and the event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a brewery open house tour.

On the Beer + Food Pairing Menu:

Butternut Beer Cheese Soup: Artisan-smoked Provolone, aged cheddar, roasted butternut squash, spiced mascarpone and cream. Served with Working Class Hero cream ale

Farmer’s Salad: Locally-sourced heirloom tomatoes, grilled white peach, charred onion, house-made ricotta, basil, olive oil and aged balsamic. Served with Killer Diller IPA

Festbier Scallops: Calabrian chili-crusted diver scallop, leek, fennel, orange, Festbier fumet and hearth-baked toast. Served with Festbier Belgian-style Oktoberfest

Wood Oven Carrot Gnocchi: House-made carrot gnocchi with amber-braised rabbit ragu, wild mushroom wood sorrel and sage. Served with Smoke & Oats smoked amber

Short Ribs: Braised short rib, boiled peanuts, wood oven sprouts and onion, potato confit and Dead Good Imperial Stout sauce. Served with Dead Good Imperial stout
