A Wigle Whiskey taco festival, food truck fests and an empanada brunch are going to make the (un)-official kickoff weekend of the summer one to remember!

Taco & Tequila Barrel Fest at Wigle Whiskey
We super pumped to partner with Wigle Whiskey for this Taco & Tequila Barrel Fest, with FOUR awesome taco trucks at Wigle’s North Side Barrelhouse – Edgar’s Best Tacos, Casa Reyna, La Palapa and Cool Beans – plus Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream! Wigle will be releasing two tequila-barrel finished spirits, too! Tickets are $20 and include a sample of Wigle Al Centro, a sample of Wigle Abajo, a whiskey cocktail, a glass of cider, and chips and salsa – all food is pay-as-you-go. There are only a few tickets left, so get them while you can!
Bakery Square Summer Kick-Off
Bakery Square is hosting their annual summer kick-off event this May! Head to the square to enjoy beer, live music, and plenty of food trucks. More information can be found online.

2018 Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival
Head to The Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington, PA, for a two-day food truck extravaganza with over 50 trucks! Trucks include The Coop Chicken and Waffles, Nakama, Pittsburgh Tortas, Crunch Roll Factory, Wicked Ribs N’at, Vagabond Taco Truck and many more! There will also be live music and children’s activities.
4th Anniversary Weekend at Grist House
Grist House Brewing is celebrating their fourth anniversary – and they’re throwing a party! Join them on Saturday for a triple can release (Hazedelic Juice Grenade, Kaboom Candy and Hippy Science), and then on Sunday, they’re hosting a BBQ Pig Roast! See more on their event page.
Brunch at Black Forge Coffee House with Mi Empanada
Head to Black Forge Coffee House in Allentown for an empanada breakfast with Mi Empanada. They’ll have breakfast empanadas, classic empanadas and vegetarian options, too. Brunch starts at 10:00 a.m., and more information can be found on the event page.
Late Night at Ki Ramen
Once a month, Ki Ramen stays open late with a DJ and late-night only food and drink specials. From 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., head to the Lawrenceville spot for $5 eggrolls, $15 Seafood Green Curry Ramen, $11 Miso Ramen, $4 Purple yam Gyoza and more.

Kayafest in the Strip District
It’s not really the official start of summer until Kayafest happens! This year’s event on Smallman Street outside of Kaya takes place on Sunday, May 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and will feature live music and dancing all day, plus tons of drinks and street food, too. See more online.
Flea for All Flea Market at Spirit
Do a little shopping on your Sunday at Spirit’s all-star flea market, with records, clothes, books, vintage, and home items. And when you’re done browsing and buying, head downstairs for their famous all-you-can-eat pizza buffet.
Wags & Whiskey at Wigle Whiskey
It’s always fun to hang with your four-legged friends! Take your dog to Wigle Whiskey’s Barrelhouse & Whiskey Garden for a free event with Camp Bow Wow and Biggies Bullies. They’ll have cocktails, and dog treats, too.
