We admit it – we’re not big Halloween people. Dressing up has never been our thing, and we don’t really go crazy over candy. But, Halloween is a huge night for bars and restaurants, especially since it falls on a Saturday this year. So, we’ll be out and about, eating and drinking our way all over town.
Here’s what’s on our ‘must do’ list:
The Vandal’s Bob’s Burger’s Weekend: On October 30 and 31, Lawrenceville’s The Vandal is going full-on Bob’s Burgers, featuring the crew dressed as characters, and lots of (pun-heavy) burgers. (4306 Butler Street)
Hitchhiker Brewing Halloween Party: Hitchhiker Brewing is going all out on the costume contest at their Halloween Party on Friday, October 30 – dress up, and you’ll get drink specials. Feel free to join the fun even if you’re not in a costume, but you’ll be paying full price like a sucker! (190 Castle Shannon Blvd.)
PAN Asian’s Halloween Brunch: On Saturday, October 31 from noon to 3:00 p.m., PAN is hosting a free Halloween brunch… yep, we said free. Admission includes free food, and drink specials. (3519 Butler Street)
Night of the Living Dead 60s Soul and Pop Dance Party at Independent Brewing Company: As usual, the Independent Brewing Company is celebrating… with music. On Saturday, October 31, they’ll be hosting a Soul and Pop Dance Party with an all-vinyl musical tribute to the music from the era of the first release of Night of the Living Dead… 60s Motown and pop. Plus $3 tacos! (1704 Shady Avenue)
Rooftop Halloween Party at Sienna Mercato: Bundle up, because Sienna Mercato is bringing the party to the roof. Starting at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, they’ll be serving up drink specials, a late-night food menu, and prizes for the best costumes. And, no cover. (942 Penn Avenue)
Southern Tier Pumpkin Flights at Industry Public House: Drink to your heart’s content. All weekend long, Industry Public House is offering up a Southern Tier beer flight, featuring three vintages of Southern Tier Pumpking. (4305 Butler Street)
Dia de Muertos Pig Roast at Round Corner Cantina: On Sunday, November 1, Round Corner Cantina is hosting a Day of the Dead party, with a full berkshire hog from Butcher on Butler, a Firkin of Habanero Mango Chinookie IPA from Full Pint Brewing, margarita specials and live music. Plus a free pint of beer for anyone showing up in face paint. Tickets are $20 at the door. (3720 Butler Street)
Day of the Dead Party at tako and Butcher & the Rye: tako and Butcher & the Rye are teaming up for their own Day of the Dead party on November 1, with face painters, live music, and a killer specials menu. (214 6th Street)
