Feel a sore throat coming on? There’s a natural remedy for that.

Author Alison Garber of the Native Apothecary blog will be hosting a workshop with a focus on Fire Cider, a traditional folk remedy of apple cider vinegar, raw honey, and herbs that promotes respiratory health.

The workshop is taking place on Saturday, January 9 at chef and restaurateur Kevin Sousa’s Braddock home.

Garber and Sousa will be making the remedy from scratch during the two hour-long workshop, and attendees will go home with their own jar of remedy to use themselves.

Tickets are $20, and guets are asked to bring a clean, quart-sized mason jar.
