Calling all bacon fans! The second location for the pig-centric restaurant Porked has officially opened in East Liberty.
The restaurant is located at 220 N. Highland Avenue in the former Union Pig & Chicken space.
The original Porked location opened just south of Munhall in 2017. Porked dubs itself Pittsburgh’s “First Pig House,” promises to serve everything pig. The menu includes items like pulled pork, pork chops, pork cordon bleu, pork loin, bacon grilled cheese, and bacon gyros.
The restaurant is known for their “Classic BLT,” which features a half-pound of bacon on Mancini Bread, as well as their “Three Little Piggies” sandwich, which includes bacon, ham, and hot sausage. On Wednesdays the shop offers their infamous “Colossal BLT,” loaded with over 2 pounds of bacon.
Dishes can be ordered with add-ons like: cheese, egg, extra meat, or house-made slaw. Sides include: angel hair with marinara, baked beans, garlic mashed potatoes, and pasta salad.
The East Liberty Porked location will have a liquor license and be able to offer refreshing drinks with their piggy foods.
Porked East Liberty is open Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
