It’s a celebration years in the making.

This weekend, the Pennsylvania Market will officially open in The Strip.

The two-story market, restaurant, & bar is located inside of the historic Pennsylvania Building on 19th Street. The process of transforming the building into The PA Market began in 2016.

After much anticipation, The PA Marketed will have their official grand opening celebration on Saturday, November 10 – 11.

The festivities include food samples throughout the day, local vendor demonstrations, live music, a face painting station for kids and more.

The PA Market spans two floors and over 12,000 square feet of retail and dining space. Inspired by the local markets of Portugal, the market aims to be a community gathering space where customers can dine on gourmet foods, shop local vendors, or simply enjoy a bottle of wine with friends.

The ground floor is currently home to four local vendors: The Olive Tap, East End Brewing, Jonathan Moran Woodworks, and Courtyard Winery.

The outside courtyard will soon be home to vendors such as: Dante brick oven pizza, goat cheeses by Cherish Creamery, pastries by Warrior King Bakery, Hillside Orchards produce, Edgar’s Tacos, crafts by Women of the Cloud Forest and Mollie’s Trolleys city tours.

And that’s just the ground floor.

The upstairs portion of the market is a combination dining hall, bar, and “wine library.” The space will be open for lunch and dinner, with plans for weekend brunch in the works. The vendors include Romulus Pizza and Bistro 108.

The elegant upstairs space is perfect for snacking on charcuterie, small plates, and pizza, all of which will pair wonderfully with the space’s expansive beverage program.

The space also offers various types of seating, including a large balcony overlooking 19th Street. There is also a plush “wine library” area that offers a unique wine list available for dining in, or taking out.

The entire building operates fluidly, allowing patrons to enjoy their food and beverages while seated in the courtyard & upstairs lounge, or while exploring the building and browsing vendors.

“It’s a place where people can come and hang out for a while,” says Siranush Khachatryan, marketing manager for The PA Market.

The interior features a combination of new and old architecture. The space has been heavily renovated as to highlight the original bones of the building. Much of the updated woodworking for the project was done by local Amish workers. The unique layout of the building and courtyard lends itself to private events and gatherings.

More information on the grand opening can be found online.

After their grant opening, The PA Market hours will be as follows:
Monday- Closed
Tuesday- Thursday 11am-10pm
Friday- 11am-2am
Saturday- 9am-2am
Sunday- 9am-7pm
