Celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early this year with a special beer dinner at Spoonwood Brewing.

On Tuesday, February 9, they’re hosting a five-course, beer-soaked dinner – and we’ve got the menu from executive chef Jeffrey Simpson.

First Course:

  • Sea urchin | soft-boiled quail egg | cucumber caviar | maple-braised pork belly chervil | pickled blueberries | chickpea toast. Paired with Wolkenhimmel Hefeweizen

Second Course:

  • Spent grain porridge | hominy | stewed green tomatoes | parmesan brood | preserved truffle | red kale | crispy prosciutto. Paired with Killer Diller IPA

Third Course:

  • House-made pici | red deer bolognaise | roasted eggplant | English peas | cured duck yolk | roasted peanuts | ricotta salata. Paired with 2 Minutes to Midnight Imperial Stout

Fourth Course:

  • Roast quail | mung bean and farro risotto | rye whiskey-roasted sunchokes | affilla cress | sorghum and black garlic sugo. Paired with Smoke & Oats Smoked Amber

Fifth Course:

  • House-made carrot cake macaroons | honeycomb ice cream | zucchini espuma | chocolate gastrique | micro beets. Paired with Cold Drip City Coffee Ale

The dinner kicks off at 6:30, with a brewery open house and tour by Spoonwood’s head brewer Steve Ilnicki.

Tickets are $75 per person, and can be purchased on their event page.
