A sign of the season in Pittsburgh! The rooftop beer garden at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco officially reopens this Friday, May 4, at 4:00 P.M.
The popular Biergarten is located on the 9th floor of the hotel and features a rooftop patio overlooking Downtown Pittsburgh. The menu highlights European beer and German-influenced bar bites. In addition to the food, drinks, and views, guests can enjoy Jenga, garden chess, all-weather corn hole, and a supersized Connect Four.
The year, the drink menu will feature plenty of summer cocktails, like the “Mai-Tai-Ger Woods is Back,” “Rooftop Tonic,” and the “D.I.Y. Adult Huggie,” made with your choice of Ketel One Botanicals inside a Little Hug Fruit Barrel. There is also an entire Sorbet-Getränke (Frozen Drinks) menu, with options like Frozé, Whiskey and Coke, and “There is No Mike” with Espolon Blanco Tequila and Mike’s HARDER Mango Lemonade.
Beer enthusiasts will have their pick of nearly 100 local, domestic, and imported beers hand-picked by Lead Bartender Alex Dando. The menu includes classic German beers like Hefeweizen and Radler and a hearty selection of Belgians and stouts.
The food, spearheaded by chef Brian Barcus, is rooted in German fare and add a savory accompaniment to the beverages. Dishes include: housemade chips with Caramelized Onion Dip, Charcuterie Cone, Double Stack Burger, Kielbasa & Pierogies, and a Bavarian Pretzel with Butter, Sea Salt, Beer Cheese, Cheddar Onion Dip, and Stone Ground Mustard.
The Biergarten has new days and hours this summer.
Tuesday – Thursday: 4:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.
Friday – Saturday: 4:00 P.M. – 12:00 A.M.
Sunday: 4:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.
