Friday, July 1: Christmas in July at Arsenal Cider House
Lawrenceville’s Arsenal Cider House is celebrating the limited release of their Snowbound Cinnamon Apple Cider with a Christmas in July cookout. They’ll have live music from 5-8PM, and menu with smoked pulled pork sandwiches, chicken wings, roasted potato salad and more. See more on their event page.
Friday, July 1: The Birds & The Beers at the National Aviary
Mix and mingle with exotic birds at the National Aviary while enjoying local beers, food and live music on Friday, July 1. VIP tickets are $75, and general admission tickets are $60, and include beer samples from War Streets Brewery, Penn Brewery, Wigle Whiskey and more, plus a three-course meal from Atria’s Restaurant. Saturday, July 2: Brat Festival
Berlin Street Food is celebrating all things brats at Grist House Brewery on July 2 with their very first Brat Fest. Three contenders will be making brats using their own recipes, and it’s up to attendees to make the final judgment to find the best one. There’s a $15 judge fee, which includes sample brats and a Grist House beer, or mini brats will be for sale for $4 each. For more information, visit their event page.
Saturday, July 2: Voodoo Homestead’s July Epic Food Truck Rally
Voodoo Homestead’s ever-popular epic food truck rally is back on Saturday, July 2 with 12 food trucks joining the roundup, including Happy Camper Cakes, Miss Meatball, BRGR, Evil Swine BBQ and more. Sunday, July 3 & Monday, July 4: Fourth of July Cook Aht at Biergarten
The Biergarten at Hotel Monaco is celebrating Independence Day with a two-day cookout on the roof. Chef Wyatt Lash will be grilling out cookout favorites from noon to 10:00 p.m. each day. Admission is free, and food and drinks are available for pay-as-you-go. Find more info online.
Thursday, July 7 – Sunday, July 10: Whiskey Rebellion Festival
Washington, PA is hosting a four-day festival to celebrate the Whiskey Rebellion, with parades, live music, fireworks, kid’s activities… and lots of food. Friday night is ‘Blues, Brews & BBQ’ night, with food vendors lining up on Main Street starting at 4PM, plus beer and wine by the glass from Washington Winery. Friday, July 8: Pittsburgh Magazine Best of the Burgh Party
Pittsburgh Magazine is hosting a ‘Best of the Burgh’ party at Stage AE, with live entertainment, and food samples from all of this year’s ‘Best of the Burgh’ winners. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online.
Sunday, July 10: The King of the Wing Festival
Get sauced at the second annual King of the Wing Festival at Penn Brewery. The outdoor festival will feature the best chicken wings from 20 local restaurants (like Gaucho Parrilla Argentina, Archie’s, Rouge BBQ and more), and a judging panel that will rate the wings in four different categories. Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16: Picklesburgh
Picklesburgh is coming back for a second year, and it promises to be bigger, better… and more pickled. The pickle festival is held on Rachel Carson Bridge, and will include pickling demonstrations (including a few demos from us at Good Food Pittsburgh!), lots of food, beer, and plenty of pickled products to buy. Plus, there will be a giant pickle over the bridge, perfect for those picklelicious pictures. Find out more info here.
Friday, July 15 – Saturday, July 16: Pittsburgh Summer Beerfest
Stage AE (both inside and outside) is going to be taken over by beer lovers during the fourth annual Pittsburgh Summer Beerfest. More than 100 breweries will be featuring unlimited samples of 300+ craft beers, plus there will be live music, and food trucks. Tickets range from $45 to $65 each, and can be purchased online.
Sunday, July 17: Steel City Pizzafest #2
The second Steel City Pizzafest of the year will be held on Sunday, July 17 at Hop Farm Brewery, with 12 pizza shops, craft beer and four live bands. It’s free to attend – food it pay as you go – and dog-and-family friendly. More info is available online.
Monday, July 18 – Saturday, July 23: Oakland Restaurant Week

Saturday, July 23: Massive Vegan Potluck

Thursday, July 28: Voodoo Brewery Food Truck Throwdown
Enjoy craft beer and some of Pittsburgh’s best food trucks – for a good cause. Voodoo Brewery is hosting a fun event at the Priory Hotel on the North Shore, all to benefit the Homeless Children’s Education Fund. VIP Tickets are $50 and include a food passport for food sampling, plus four Voodoo beer tastings. General admission tickets are $30, and designated driver tickets are $15. Saturday, July 30: Pittsburgh VegFest
The second annual Pittsburgh VegFest will be held on Saturday, July 30 at Allegheny Commons Park East, with vegan food, arts, crafts, handmade products, and lots of activities for the kids.
