Sad news from Regent Square today. Keith Fuller announced via Instagram that his restaurant, Root 174, will be closing its doors to make way for a more casual concept.
“We have made amazing friends, served great food, and are proud to have worked with Empty Bowls, Environmental Charter School, Pittsburgh Food Bank, and Project Lunch Tray, to name a few,” Fuller writes. “We are excited to be working on a new, more casual concept for the neighborhood.”
While details of the new concept are being worked out, Fuller promises a few pop-ups in the current space. He’ll also be busy opening Pork & Beans, his downtown BBQ and pork-centric eatery, which he’ll be launching later this year with Richard DeShantz.
