Popular California vegan eatery “Southern Fried Vegan” has made its way to the midwest for a special pop-up barbeque dinner in Pittsburgh tonight!
The “Vegan Brews and BBQ” event will take place at Dancing Gnome Beer in Sharpsburg from 5:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M., tonight, Wednesday, August 7.
According to VegNews.com, Southern Fried Vegan began in San Diego in 2007 and has served their vegan comfort food at Coachella for seven years in a row. They are known for their BBQ ‘Steak’ Burger and Fried Chickun.
Although they are based in California, they travel across the United States.
As the name suggests, the menu will be loaded with southern staples and sandwich specials. A few highlights include: Fried Chickun, BBQ, Mac N Cheeze, Jambalaya, Cajun Corn, Beer-Cheeze Battered Beyond Burgers, Totchos and more.
All food will be plant-based.
Additionally, Pittsburgh-favorite Sugar Spell Scoops will be open during the event. The vegan scoop shop is located around the corner from Dancing Gnome.
