Bethel Bakery and Spoonwood Brewing Company have announced a big collaboration – and it’s perfect for the season.
The Pumpkin Drop Porter launched on Friday, October 4 at Spoonwood brewery.
The dark ale is brewed with 50 pounds of Bethel Bakery’s pumpkin spice drop cookies, pumpkin purée, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and vanilla. The brewery is also selling Pumpkin Drop cookies, to go with the brew.
Eight kegs of the beer was sold during the first weekend it was available, in 5-oz. sample glasses, pints and refillable growlers.
The Pumpkin Drop Porter is the second collaboration in Spoonwood and Bethel Bakery’s “Have Your Cake and Drink It, Too” project, following a Chocolate Raspberry Cake Stout release earlier this year.
Pumpkin Drop Porter will be available at Spoonwood Brewing Co. until it runs out, and Pumpkin Drop cookies will be available at Bethel Bakery through Thanksgiving.
