It’s Oysterfest Season at Wholey’s!

Oysters are in season, and Wholey’s is celebrating!

The Strip District fish market is hosting an Oysterfest party over two weekends, with tasting samples, seafood classes, and more.

On November 9 and 10 and November 16 and 17, guests can enjoy oyster varieties including James River, Chesapeake Bay, Malpeque, Well Fleet, Savage Blondes, Connecticut Blue Points and more.

Wholey’s kitchen will also be serving oysters on the half shell (three for $5), plus fried oysters and oyster po’boys.

Oysterfest is happening on Saturday, November 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Free cooking classes will be held on each Saturday at 10:00 a.m., and will cover how to select, shuck and prepare oysters, and how to prepare Oysters Rockefeller.
