A new gourmet popcorn shop has opened its doors downtown.
Fancypants Popcorn is now open in Liberty Center, offering fresh-popped popcorn with a variety of toppings, plus root beer floats, handmade soda, and cold-brewed coffee.
The popcorn shop, owned by Crazy Mocha founder Ken Zeff, serves six flavors on the menu: regular, white cheddar, yellow cheddar, caramelized brown sugar, kettlecorn and Ghirardelli chocolate and peanut butter. They also offer a rotating selection of savory and sweet popcorn flavors, that change on a daily basis.
The menu also features homemade root beer on draft, and root beer floats made with Klavon’s vanilla ice cream, and sodas in flavors like pineapple, mango, raspberry, watermelon, lime and green apple.
Rounding out the menu are a selection of hot beverages, including chai and hot chocolate, plus cold-brew coffee selections from Three Rivers.
Popcorn is available in “single,” “double,” and “jumbo” sizes, and prices range from $2.50 to $12. Tins of popcorn are also available at their retail location, and online.
Fancypants Popcorn has also just announced plans to open a second location in Lawrenceville, and in Braddock later next year.
