The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and Strip District Neighbors are doing their part to help restaurants and small businesses in their neighborhoods.
They’ve teamed up to launch a gift card give back initiative, adding an extra 25% bonus on every gift card purchased through their site – with all the revenue going straight to the business.
According to the Pittsburgh Business Times, the program is starting with an initial base of $37,500 in funding.
If you’d like to purchase a gift card, you can head to GiveBackPGH.com to see what restaurants and businesses are participating. Currently, participating downtown restaurants include Bridges & Bourbon, the Original Oyster House, Alihan’s Mediterranean Cuisine, Sienna on the Square, Bae Bae’s Kitchen, Sienna Mercato, Joe & Pie Cafe, Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room, Corner Mercantile, Gaucho Parilla Argentina, Giovanni’s Pizza & Pasta, The Carlton, The Commoner, The Speckled Egg, Revel, Union Standard and Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group.
Participating Strip District restaurants include DiAnoia’s Eatery, Coop de Ville, Atelier de Fer Coffee & Tea, Colangelo’s Bakery & Cafe, La Prima Espresso Company, and Pizzeria Davide.
Retail businesses and services are also included.
If you’d like to purchase a gift card, go to the site, and select the gift card in increments of $25 (up to $100). You’ll check out directly through the site, and save the online receipt that includes a 25% bonus (while program funds are available).
They’ll send the information to the business, who will then send you a traditional gift card, digital gift card, or instructions on how to redeem.
