One of our favorite hidden gems in our area is Leechburg’s The Twisted Thistle, a made-from-scratch restaurant that has an ever-changing menu based on seasonal, local ingredients.
They’re always posting new daily specials (follow their Facebook page for updates), and this weekend’s dessert specials look especially amazing.
Here’s what’s on the dessert menu this weekend:

- Orange Creamsicle Cake

- Chocolate Blossoms filled with chocolate mousse
- Chocolate-Amaretto Cake with fresh strawberries
- Giant Cream Puffs
- Cheesecake with house-made strawberry sauce
