Good food for a good cause.
Winghart’s Burgers & Whiskey has teamed up with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to help bring awareness (and donations) to The Touch Initiative to fight area hunger.
With a mission to have local businesses serve as collection centers and drop off locations for food donations around the area, The Touch Initiative works to gather donations throughout the year, not just during the holidays.
Since June, Winghart’s has been offering 15 percent off anyone’s food bill who brings in a non-perishable canned food item to any of their five locations. And, the best thing about this drive is that is has no end date.
Here’s a few of the ‘Most Wanted’ food drive items they’re looking for:
- Cereal
- Tuna or Salmon, packed in water
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Beans
- Peanut Butter
- Hand Soap/ Toiletries
- Laundry Detergent
- Diapers
- Canned Vegetables
