Do you make the best pie in the ‘Burgh? Kitchen store In The Kitchen is holding a city-wide competition to find the most delicious pie around.
They’re dividing the competition into three sections: Kids, Culinary Students and Adults.
If you want to participate, you must drop off your fully-baked pie (with its recipe), to the shop on Thursday, November 20, by 5:00 p.m. In the Kitchen staff will be judging on Friday at 10:00 a.m. The judging is open to the public, and everyone will get a chance to sample the pies after a winner is declared.
Think you can win? Here’s a few ground rules:
- Amateur bakers only – no culinary professionals allowed.
- Pies can be sweet or savory, and can’t require refrigeration before serving.
- Each pie must contain a bottom crust.
