Talk about a hidden gem.
The first time we visited Hoffstot’s Café Monaco in Oakmont was to chat about wedding catering. At our meeting, the chef brought out a tasting of their house Sundried Tomato Pistachio Nut Dipping Oil, and we were hooked…. And immediately signed the restaurant to cater our big day.
We were thrilled to learn that Hoffstot’s sells the oil in jars, and have been well-stocked ever since.
Mix this delicious, house-made concoction with equal parts good olive oil, and use it for dipping bread – we like to use foccacia, or crusty Italian. It elevates any charcuterie or cheese plate, and is a go-to appetizer for homemade Italian dinners.
