Pittsburgh pride! For the second year in a row, Cure’s Justin Severino has won Food & Wine magazine’s The People’s Best New Chef award for the Mid-Atlantic region.
Severino was up against Philadelphia favorites like Top Chef Nick Elmi, Peter Serpico, and Greg Vernick, and chefs from Washington, DC and Virginia.
The fan-selected award comes with some pretty major bragging rights, and peek into the minds of some of the best chefs in the country. F&W also shares their pick for the quintessential Severino dish, his salumi platter.
