The Pittsburgh Canning Exchange and Slow Food Pittsburgh are teaming up for a Preservation Celebration on Sunday, December 7 at The Cloakroom.
From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., you can trade home-canned food with other home preservationists during a canning exchange, and submit a jar of your own homemade pickles to their Pickle Contest.
Even if you don’t can, or have your own pickles to enter in the contest, you can still join the celebration and enjoy good food and live music.
Everyone who attends will be able to sample all of the pickles in the contest, plus enjoy a spread of local snacks, drinks from the crew at the Livermore, and chat up food preservation experts on their craft.
Tickets are $15 each, and can be purchased here.
And, if that date doesn’t work for you , be sure to join Good Food Pittsburgh for our Winter Food Swap on January 24 at Pittsburgh Public Market.
