East Liberty’s Kelly’s Bar & Lounge is going big with barleywine.
They just announced plans for their 11th annual ‘Hell with the Lid Off’ Barleywine Festival on March 7.
At the festival, revelers can enjoy 45 taps of various barleywine, plus a variety of barleywine bottles from Kelly’s cellar. They’ll be offering vertical flights, which consist of different ‘years’ of a single beer, giving tasters the chance to compare the differences in each sample, and regular flights, made with a variety of samples of different barleywines.
For food, Kelly’s is putting out all of their classic favorites in a buffet, and they’ll also have cheese and wine pairings.
They’re offering two sessions that day, one from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., and one from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Tickets are $65 from now until December 22. After that, the price goes up to $75 per person.
