January just got a little more fun, thanks to two upcoming cocktail classes at Wigle Whiskey.

On January 14, at 6:30 p.m., they’re hosting a Rock & Rye cocktail class with Wigle’s bartender Wes Shonk. He’ll be teaching the class the history of this old-timey cocktail, made with rock candy, citrus and rye whiskey. The class includes a demonstration of rock candy making, a production tour of the distillery, and a lesson in making your own cocktail, plus a bottle of Rock & Rye to take home.

Tickets to the Rock & Rye class are $35 each, and can be purchased here.

On Saturday, January 24, Wigle is celebrating the great Scottish poet Robert Burns at the Barrel House with ‘Burns Night 2015,’ a party with lots of whiskey, haggis, bag pipes, poetry, live music and dancing. Local musicians and artists will be performing, and a traditional Scottish meal will be prepared by the folks at Butcher on Butler.

Tickets range from $50 to $65, and can be purchased be purchased on their event page.

Wigle is also hosting a Making Bitters class on Wednesday, January 28. The class will include two cocktails, snacks, a history of bitters and a lesson in using them in your own cocktails – and a bottle of your own custom-made bitters to take home.

Tickets to the bitters class are $45 each, and can be purchased here.
