From a vegan ice cream pop-up to a BBQ dinner, there’s plenty to eat (and drink) this weekend in Pittsburgh.

Friday, March 17

Casual Friday at Dreadnoughts: On the first and third Friday of every month, Dreadnoughts Wines on Liberty Avenue hosts a casual wine tasting. For $12, guests can sample and learn about six different wines while munching on cheeses and mingling with new friends.  Tickets can be purchased at the door, and Dreadnoughts is located at 3401 Liberty Avenue.

Saturday, March 18

Coffee Cupping at Adda
Expand your palette at Adda this weekend with an introduction to “cupping,” the professional method of comparing coffee. The free event will give guests the opportunity to sample several coffee varieties.  More information can be found on the event page.

Driftwood Oven at The Staghorn
To celebrate the arrival of spring, the Staghorn Cafe in Greenfield is hosting a pizza party.  There will be live music, and the chance to sample some snacks from Staghorn’s cafe menu.  Find out more information online.

Sundae Bar Pop-up at Reed&Co
Reed&Co is hosting a magical ice cream pop-up with Sugar Spells Scoops, a completely vegan and dairy-free ice cream company in Pittsburgh.  Make a sundae in the store or pick up a pint for later.  Visit the event page for more information.

Sweet Little Eats Brunch at Bantha
The popular Pittsburgh pop-up bakery, Sweet Little Eats, is hosting a BYOB brunch at Bantha Tea Bar in Garfield.  The menu includes Corned beef hash, Haluski, Vegetable quiche, Buttermilk biscuits, and Matcha pound cake. For more information, visit the event page.

Sunday, March 19

Pittsburgh Food Bank’s Empty Bowls 2017
The annual Empty Bowls event will take place this Sunday, March 19th at Rodef Shalom.  Tickets to the event include a handmade bowl, and soup from some of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh.  Proceeds from the event benefit Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Just Harvest. Relish Doughnut and Reed&Co at The Vandal
The popular Pittsburgh vegan Doughnut company, Relish Co., is hosting another Sunday brunch at the Vandal on March 19th.  Reed&Co will also be in attendance, selling their pressed juices. See more online.

Sunday Drag Brunch at James Street Gastropub
On the first and third Sunday of every month, the James Street Gastropub hosts Kierra Darshell’s Sunday Drag Brunch. Enjoy James Street’s brunch menu, $5 Bloody Marys & Mimosas, and a lively atmosphere. Find out more information on the event page.

BBQ Pop Up at the Pear and the Pickle:
The Pear and the Pickle Cafe is launching their first BBQ pop-up this Sunday, March 19 with Rollin BBQ.  There will be ribs, chicken, Mac & Cheese, and much more. For more information, visit the event page.
