Try Craft Cocktails Inspired by Pittsburgh Artists for “Muddled + Mixed”

Kick off the start of summer with an evening of art and cocktails at the Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley.

Sweetwater, an artistic education center and gallery space, is hosting their first ever “Muddled + Mixed” event on June 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

For the event, a local mixologists will be on site muddling and mixing up unique cocktails, inspired by work of Pittsburgh artists. The cocktails for the event will feature spirits from Wigle Whiskey, Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka, Maggie’s Farm Rum, and McLaughlin Distillery.

The bartenders who will be mixing up these inspired cocktails include:

  • Nicole Battle – täkō & DiAnoia’s Eatery
  • Amanda Schaffner – Butterjoint & Legume
  • Collin McNamee – Soba
  • Michel Mincin – Allora Wine Group

The featured artists for the event are :

  • Kara Zuzu
  • Ron Copeland
  • Stephanie Armbruster
  • Tate Hudson

Tickets to the event include the drinks, cocktail-making demonstrations, syrup making and infusion demonstrations, an art auction with works by local artists, music from DJ Buscrates, and samples of local food.

During the event, guests will get to taste the cocktails, and vote on their favorite for the “People’s Choice Award.” Additionally, a panel of guest judges will select their favored innovative cocktail.

Tickets are $35 for members, $40 for non-members, and $45 at the door.  More information can be found online.
