Tracking down food trucks is an art. Between checking websites, event pages, and social media, it’s not always easy to find your favorite truck. However, with so many options on the streets of Pittsburgh, it’s definitely worth the search.

Food Trucks to Try in Pittsburgh:
Mac & Gold Truck
Mac & Gold offers gourmet macaroni and cheese from their very punny food truck (black & gold – get it?). Popular dishes include: Peas & Prosciutto Mac, Chicken Bacon, Bacon Tomato Asparagus, and Lobster mac. The truck can be found every Wednesday at 11 Stanwix Street, among other locations.
Blue Sparrow
This one won’t be too hard to find, as Blue Sparrow and 11th Hour Brewing have teamed up for summer. Blue Sparrow’s 1956 Greyhound bus will be outside of the Lawrenceville Brewery every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Blue Sparrow serves “Global street food,” and are famous for dishes like Banh Mi, Korean BBQ Burrito, and the almighty Ramen Burger.
Pittsburgh Sandwich Society
If you like sandwiches n’at, check aht the Pittsburgh Sandwich Society. This popular food truck is famous for their in-n-aht burger and spicy chicken sandwich. Also, *hint hint*, the truck might be at our brunch festival, Brunchburgh, this summer. 😉
The Twisted Potato
Loaded potato chips? Yes, please! Unsurprisingly, this truck serves great potato chips. They are also known for their hot dogs, french fries, and sausages.
Caustelot Creamery
An ice cream truck worth tracking down this summer is Caustelot Creamery. Their smooth, creamy, delicious ice cream is available in flavors like: Mint Chocolate Chip, Blackberry, Banana,Cookie Dough, and more.
Pita My Shawarma
One of the newest food trucks on the streets of Pittsburgh is Pita My Shawarma. This truck serves modern mediterranean food, including: chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, hummus wrap, and more.
Cousins Maine Lobster
Fresh lobster rolls from Maine? Enough said! The popular lobster chain (which was featured on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2012) serves all of your lobster favorites, including: cold rolls, hot rolls, lobster nachos, lobster tots, lobster quesadillas, and more.
MR Bulgogi
Bulgogi, which literally translates to “fire meat,” is a juicy Korean sliced meat that is marinated and grilled before being served. The MR Bulgogi trucks serves delicious Korean BBQ specials, including their beef bulgogi, rice, noodles, and more.
Brisketburgh
Brisket and biscuits are the name of the game at Brisketburgh, a new food truck on the streets of Pittsburgh. The menu highlights slow smoked brisket and fresh baked biscuits, serving as sliders, plain biscuits, and more.
Tango Food Truck
Tango Food Truck is known for serving terrific authentic argentinian food. Be sure to try their empanadas, sandwiches with grilled steak, choripan, Argentinian fries, and more!
Pgh Po’boy
Po’boy fans should track down the Pgh Po’boy truck! This popular food truck can be found all over the city, serving their hearty po’boy sandwiches!
Steel City Chimneys
If you’ve never had a chimney cake, you need to find the Steel City Chimney truck this summer. This popular European dessert (often known as trdelnik) is a grilled cake that is slowly roasted over a open pit, then rolled in sugar and filed with a delicious cream. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this!
Curly Tail Coffee
Coffee fans will love the adorable Curly Trail Coffee trailer. This local roastery serves small batch bags of coffee, and $1 from each bag sold is donated to animal rescue.
Halal Truck
This halal truck offers Mediterranean food, such as Lamb, Chicken, Falafel, Hummus, Rice, Baklava, and Fries. All food served are foods permitted to be eaten according to Islamic Sharia law.
Sinkers & Suds
What’s not to like a Sinkers & Suds? This food truck serves freshly-made donuts, served warm with made-to-order toppings, and delicious coffee. Flavors include s’mores, cookies-n-cream, strawberry cheesecake, and more!
Revival Chili
Chili fans must track down the delicious homemade chili from this truck. Revival works to provide employment opportunities for those with a disadvantage in the workforce. They also have a diner in Wilkinsburg.

It’s so interesting to see that they were able to convert a grey-hound bus into a kitchen. My brother is trying to remodel a truck so that he can start his own company. He needs to figure out what style he likes so that he can properly cook his food for the customers.
