This class will include tips on basic piping and filling techniques, and everyone will take home six decorated cookies. Tickets are $50 per person, and can be purchased online.
A Lawrenceville Valentine’s Day Dinner & Beer Release
Blue Sparrow and 11th Hour Brewing are teaming up for a Valentine’s Day dinner and beer release. At 11th Hour Brewing, you’ll a pour of their “Date Night” beer, a Peach Brandy-barreled Sour, blended with a 10-month Foeder-aged Sour, and conditioned on fresh raspberry and pink guava puree. Tickets are $28 per person, and also include a 16 oz. 11th Hour Brewing beer of your choice, a meal from Blue Sparrow, and a 2-pack of chocolates from Chocolate Moonshine. Tickets are available here.
Be Mine Cheeseboard Workshop
Mediterra Bakehouse is teaching you how to make a beautiful cheeseboard for Valentine’s Day. On February 11, head to their Sewickley cafe to learn how to create a stunning cheeseboard. Tickets are $$90 per person, and attendees will be able to choose their own selection of cheeses, meats, and accoutrements to build their own cheeseboard.
A Pop-Up Dinner in a Wine Cellar
Persophone, a pop-up dinner group, is teaming up with R Wine Cellar at Cellar on Penn for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. Tickets are $100 per person, and include a banquet-style feast, with dishes like homemade gnudi, beets, and brown-butter pear chocolate cake. Tickets are available here.
A Beer Dinner in a Foederhouse
Cinderland’s new Foederhouse is hosting a Valentine’s Day Beer Dinner, featuring four courses with beer pairings. The menu includes dishes like mushroom crostini, Bay scallops with Parisian Gnocchi and Osso Bucco with polenta. Tickets are $120 per couple, and there will be two seatings throughout the night.
Enjoy Sweets and Cider at Threadbare Cider & Mead
If you’re looking for a unique activity this Valentine’s Day, Threadbare Cider & Mead is offering a cider and sweets pairing tour of their cider house on February 14. Sample Threadbare ciders, and five sweet pairings, from local favorites like Marc Chocolatier, Judiciously Sweet, Macaron Bar PGH and Threadbare’s own kitchen. Tickets are $25 per person, and are available for 5:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
