Penn Brew U Masters Degree Program
Beer fans looking to learn a little more about their favorite craft beers are in luck – Penn Brewery is hosting Penn Brew U Master’s Degree Level class this weekend. Attendees will learn advanced beer information, including grain bill, grain/beer pairing, food pairing, identifying foul-tasting beer, barrel aging and more. Mash Bill Summer Music Festival at Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse
Another summer series from Wigle Whiskey? Yep. Starting this Saturday and running through September, the Wigle Barrelhouse will have free, live music, every Saturday starting at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a food truck on site.
Jam on Walnut
The Jam on Walnut is back this weekend. Benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Jam On Walnut is a three day outdoor concert, occurring one Saturday during each summer month. Battle of the Bloody Mary at Hough’s
Hough’s in Greenfield is serving up three types of homemade bloody mix – the Bunny Mary, Verde Mary, and the Basic Bloody – at their Saturday brunch this weekend. Available from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., stop through and try them all! Learn more about organic food while picking fresh produce at the Dormont Library this weekend. The Allegheny Land Trust will educate guests for this fun and fruitful program. Kids ages 5th grade and up are welcome to join.

Bridget’s Apothecary is teaching students an accessible way to preserve medicinal plants by extracting many valuable properties. If you haven’t made it to the new candle workshop in Lawrenceville yet, now is your chance. Stop through the Candle Lab between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. this Sunday and receive a complimentary mimosa with juice freshly squeezed by Reed&co, and cider from Arsenal Cider House. Western PA Lamb Festival + Cook-Off
This Sunday is the first ever Western PA Lamb Festival and Cook-off. Hosted at the Ace Hotel in East Liberty, over 25 chefs will be serving their own interpretation of lamb, and guests will be sampling and voting on their favorites. Some of the big name chefs include Justin Severino of Cure and Morcilla, Kate Romane of Black Radish Kitchen, Dustin Gardne of Casbah, Derek Stevens of the Union Standard, Curtis Gamble of Station, and more.
