It’s no secret that Hidden Harbor, the tiki-inspired cocktail bar in Squirrel Hill, loves its rum. But we were surprised to learn just how many bottles of rum actually grace the bar’s shelves… 98, to be exact.
Though that’s about to change.
On Thursday, May 26, the bar will add its 99th bottle of rum to its wall, and it’s a doozy.
For the first time, they’ll be bringing El Dorado Single Barrel PM to Pennsylvania. It’s a rum that’s produced in Guyana using the world’s oldest pot still – one so old, it’s made of wood, not copper.
To celebrate its arrival, bartenders will be pouring out a bottle’s worth of complimentary samples all evening long.
There will also be plenty of other rums on hand, including 16 Pittsburgh-made rums, like the sold-out Maggie’s Farm ‘Best In Show’ 2015 and 2016 Single Barrels.
