Shiloh Grill, the Mt. Washington mainstay that has been in business since 2010, has announced that it will be closing its doors for good on Tuesday, July 28.

In a statement on Facebook, restaurant owner Alex Fruzynski said, “With heavy hearts, today we announce that Shiloh Grill will be closing after one more bacon night, Tuesday, July 28. We hope to see you all on the Mount one more time ’til then, as we’re stocked and swinging Frozen Cosmos, brunch FroMosas, and Cosmos-a-GoGos til the very end. Thank you all for ten wonderful years of patronage, friendship, and memories.”

Fruzynski spoke with WTAE about the closure, and said that the restaurant’s lease was up. “Just with all of the uncertainty with COVID it seemed like the right move,” he told the station.

“It’s a real family here so we’re really sad to have to shut it down after ten years,” he said.

Shiloh Grill is just the latest Pittsburgh restaurant to announce its closure. Spoon in East Liberty, Mixtape in Bloomfield, and Union Standard downtown have all recently announced that they were closing, due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our full list of restaurants that have recently announced closures can be found here.

Fruzynski also owns Harris Grill, with locations downtown and in Shadyside. Those locations are currently closed, but both will be reopening.
