Initially, after watching trailer, I expected it be a cute, slightly childish family movie, imbued with nostalgia for Mr. Rogers. But from the very first minutes of the film, I realized that its content is much deeper, and the values it is filmed about are even more significant for adults than for children.
This movie reminds of such important things in life as love for loved ones, the ability to cope with negative feelings, forgiveness and acceptance of oneself and others as they are.
Thanks to the excellent acting, thoughtful scenario and amazing direction, the characters become very close to you, and their problems, experiences and discoveries find the deepest response in your soul.
A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood has forever become one of my favorite movies.
