Pittsburghers who are looking for something a little spicy have a new place in town bringing the heat.
CHiKN, a highly-anticipated restaurant that specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken sandwiches, is now open on Forbes Avenue in Oakland.
The restaurant, from the owners of the small gourmet burger and beer chain Stack’d, offers fried chicken everything, available with varying levels of spice.

On the menu at CHiKN, you’ll find classic fried chicken sandwiches (served with slaw and pickles), chicken tenders, Chicken & Waffles, and chicken salads, plus side dishes like cheesy Mac & Cheese, crinkle-cut French fries and cole slaw.
All fried chicken is available with a choose-your-own level of heat, from Southern (with no spice), to mild, medium, hot, and damn hot (be warned, word on the street is that it’s only for fans of serious heat).

The fast-casual restaurant, located at 3712 Forbes Avenue in the former Qudoba location, offers limited indoor seating, and is open daily for lunch and dinner.
