All The Best Twitter Reactions To Kennywood’s New Roller Coaster

July 19, 2018 by Emily Catalano Leave a Comment

By now, you’ve probably heard that Kennywood has just announced plans to add a new roller coaster to the park next year: The Steel Curtain, a large-scale ride that will include a world-record tallest inversion of 197 feet, nine inversions, and will reach top speeds of 75 m.p.h.

And it’s going to be part of a new section of the park called “Steelers Country,” in partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

So yeah, Pittsburghers are pumped. Here’s what they have to say about it:

I never thought I'd see the day, but Pittsburgh just out-Pittsburghed itself. #SteelersCountry #Kennywood

Kennywood needs a Pirates ride. You go underground for over 20 continuous minutes then come above ground for 3 minutes then return to hell again. #project412 #Kennywood

Please sit upright, and keep your arms, legs and Terrible Towels inside the car at all times #Yinzer #YINZsplosion #kennywood https://t.co/JNTWctECLi

I haven't been to Kennywood in years, but you can bet the house that I'll be there the summer #Project412 officially opens #HereWeGo

A #Steelers themed coaster at #Kennywood is #yinzer heaven LOL

— Alan W (@Alan_Waldron) July 19, 2018

as if Yinzers needed ANOTHER reason to wear their Big Ben jerseys to Kennywood.

I'm so hyped about the #Kennywood new ride announcement that I've somehow fallen down the rabbit hole of roller coaster enthusiast twitter. Am I now following @Coaster101? You bet ya! #SteelCurtain #Pittsburgh

The Steelers ride at Kennywood is the most Yinzery think I could possibly think of. It’s spectacular. This has to be the first sports franchise with a roller coaster, right? If they somehow include fireworks and pierogies it would be a yinzplosian that I never thought possible.

And, the hands-down best reaction:

The new Kennywood rollercoaster is all about the Pittsburgh Steelers …colors…name and all. If the Cleveland Browns were to have a rollercoaster dedicated to them it wouldn't even start… and if it did.. it would stall out and roll backwards going up the first hill.
