Millvale, are you ready for some seriously good tacos?
Baby Loves Tacos, the beloved Bloomfield taco shop, has announced plans to open a second taqueria in Millvale, which will also house a small produce market. Baby Loves Tacos: Taqueria + Market will open at 524 Grant Avenue, in the former Tazza D’oro location.
Zack Shell, the owner of Baby Loves Tacos, says that he and partner Kat Muscianesi have been working with the Millvale Development Corporation on the market concept, which will offer all of the ingredients that they use to prepare their dishes, as well as a rotating offering of additional fruit, vegetables, and basic pantry food items.
“Millvale does not have a grocery store within walking distance to the town,” Shell says. “We wanted to provide a very accessible and affordable grocery for residents who don’t have access to a car.”
Additionally, the Triboro Ecodistrict has been working with Shell and Muscianesi to provide funding for a Saturday Farmers Market in the space, as well.
The taqueria will feature eat-in seating, and serve the tacos, burritos, salads, and burrito bowls that made the taco shop famous. The Bloomfield location, and catering services, will continue.
Work on the space will continue for the next few months, with staff members John Sandy, Gary Musisko and Shell’s mother Jody Shell rounding out the team.
Shell says that he hopes that Baby Loves Tacos: Taqueria + Market will be open in December or earlier.
