Bartender’s Tasting Menu at Spoon

July 15, 2014 by Emily Catalano Leave a Comment

Chefs have been creating Tasting Menus to feature their best dishes for years now – and Spoon thinks that it’s about time that bartenders did the same.

They’ve taken the idea of a chef’s tasting menu and brought it behind the bar, with their weekly Bartender’s Tasting menu.

Each week, they come up with a new themed tasting menu that’s available from Sunday through Thursday. Each of the five cocktails on the list is their interpretation of that week’s theme. And the best part? The price. You can try all five cocktails for $25, or three for $16.

This week’s theme is ‘Inconceivable,’ and they’re featuring cocktails with house-made lemon bitters, roasted corn syrup, smoked pineapple juice and more.

Spoon’s ‘Inconceivable’ Bartender’s Tasting Menu:

Mai Tai
Cruzen Aged Light Rum + Appleton Estate Reserve Rum + House-made Orgeat + orange + lime

Red Lion
Beefeater London Dry Gin + Grand Marnier + house-made grenadine + citrus

Smokey Joe
Old Overholt rye whiskey + Illegal mezcal + Dolin Blanc vermouth + smoked pineapple juice

Land Yacht Sidecar
Torres Brandy + Marie Brizzard Curacao + fino sherry + house lemon bitters

25% Less Corn
Knob Creek Bourbon + Highland Park Scotch + Yellow Chartreuse + roasted corn syrup + egg white
