The 2nd annual Smoketoberfest BBQ festival is happening at Bayardstown Social Club on Sunday, October 4.
Four local BBQ teams from Blowfish BBQ, Butcher on Butler and PGH Smokehouse, plus one soon-to-be-announced mystery brewery BBQ team, will compete to win the crowd’s love – plus bragging rights.
Each team will prepare BBQ ribs, prepared in their own unique way. Plus, Roundabout Brewery will be supplying special smoked beers and chili pepper beers. They’ll also have vegetarian options available for all of the non meat-eaters out there.
For $35, you’ll get a ticket to the event, which includes a souvenir Smoktoberfest glass, BBQ from all four BBQ teams, Roundabout beer, and live music all afternoon.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Lawrenceville Organic Community Garden, which provides education to the neighborhood about the importance of community gardens.
The event is rain or shine, and will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
