Wigle Whiskey is taking a page out of a brewer’s notebook, and dedicating a full week to beer.
All this week at the distillery, guests are invited to stop in for a free small pour of Wigle’s new Quaker Strength oatmeal stout whiskey, which they’re pairing with Troegs Java Head Stout.
Inspired by oatmeal stout beer, Quaker Strength is distilled from malted oats and roasted barley, then aged in a charred barrel for 16 months, and is Wigle’s newest whiskey release. And, if voters bring in their voting stub or an ‘I Voted’ sticker today through Friday, they’ll a $5 gift card.
Plus, they’ll have other beer-inspired events happening this weekend, too.
On Saturday, join them for a Chili Cook-off at the Barrelhouse, featuring local chili submissions. Tickets are $15, and include Bloom Brew Brewing beers, a spicy cocktail from Wigle, and six bowls of chili from various competitors.
On Sunday, the Barrelhouse will host Wigle’s third annual Homebrewers Competition. Tickets are $20, and include homebrew beer samples, a Wigle snifter, and a barrel-aged cocktail, plus the opportunity to vote for a winner of the People’s Choice Competition.
