Do you have a dream of housing your own backyard beehives? Burgh Bees, the Pittsburgh-based nonprofit that educates budding beekeepers and promotes beekeeping is offering a whole slew of classes this autumn to get you started.
The group will host three Beekeeping 101 classes for beginner beekeepers:
- A two-day classroom-based course that will be held on Saturday, October 25 and Saturday, November 1.
- A three-weeknight course, held on January 19, January 21 and January 26.
- A one-day condensed class on Saturday, March 21.
Seats at each class are $100 each, and tend to go pretty quickly.
Burgh Bees is also hosting a Beekeeping 102 class on Saturday, March 7, for second year beekeepers.
If you’d like to sign up for any of the classes, head over to their site.
