After 61 years in business, Bethel Park’s Bethel Bakery is expanding. The cult-favorite bakery, known for their specialty cakes and cream puffs, will be opening a second shop, this time in Washington County.
As first reported by the Observer-Reporter, Bethel Bakery will be sharing retail space with Country Confections Chocolates in North Strabane Towne Center.
Bethel Bakery’s John Walsh tells the OR that the new space will be a “sweet spot” for visitors, and each business will have separate stores and storefronts, with an interior entryway between each shop. Bethel Bakery will continue to sell cakes, cookies, cupcakes and cream puffs, and Country Confections Chocolates will focus on chocolate, chocolate-covered pretzels, gourmet apples, and candy.
The new location will allow Bethel Bakery to expand their footprint in western Pennsylvania.
“A location along Route 19 will be more accessible to our loyal customers, and to new ones, in Peters Township, Canonsburg, Southpointe and the Washington areas,” Walsh tells the OR.
The North Strabane shop (located at 2500 Washington Rd. in Canonsburg) is expected to be open by the holidays.
