For the third year in a row, Pittsburgh brewers are coming together to celebrate the end of Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week, partake in some friendly competition, “and make fools of ourselves,” laughs Grist House Brewery owner Brian Eaton.

The “2017 Brewers’ Olympics” will take place on Sunday, April 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The event will pin different breweries in the city against each other for tasks of both physical, and mental strength, although the official list of events remains a secret.

“In the past we have done things like unraveling bag, moving kegs around an obstacle course, and even a blind beer tasting. It is really fun to get everyone together, and give the fans a chance to talk to all the brewers about their different beers.  It really is a great day with a lot of laughs. It shows the community in craft beer industry! ” says Eaton.

Pittsburgh beer fans are invited to come out and cheer on their favorite brewery. Tickets to the event are $20 per person, with the proceeds benefiting the Millvale Community Library.  Each ticket also includes a shirt for the event.

Participating breweries include:

  • Grist House
  • Rock Bottom
  • Spoonwood
  • Mindful
  • Hop Farm
  • Shubrew
  • Reclemation
  • Butler Brew Works
  • Helicon
  • CoStar
  • East End
  • Church Brew Works
  • Insurrection
  • Helltown
  • Hitchhiker
  • Rivertowne

Tickets for the event can be purchased online.
