Pittsburgh, get ready to pickle.
Picklesburgh, a two-day pickling extravaganza, is kicking off tomorrow afternoon on the Rachel Carson Bridge.
The culinary celebration will feature tasty bites, lots of local vendors, and pickling demonstrations – including us! We’ll be showing off our tips for making Vietnamese Pickled Vegetables on Friday at 6:20 p.m., Pickled Watermelon Rinds at 7:40 p.m., and Pickled Jalapenos at 8:40 p.m.
A number of local restaurants will be on hand with snacks, including Meat & Potatoes with sandwiches (topped with pickles, of course), Grit & Grace with Mortadella Steam Buns, and Sienna Mercato with a roasted pepper sausage sandwich.
There will also be daily live music, contests (pickle juice-drinking, anyone?), and more.
The event is free, and runs through Saturday.
